Estudio de prefactibilidad para la instalación de una planta de producción de café de la selva alta en empaques para el mercado nacional

Abstract

El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio de pre factibilidad para la instalación de una planta de producción de café de la selva alta peruana. El Perú es productor de uno de los mejores cafés del mundo. Pero a pesar de eso, el consumo de cafés importados predomina en el mercado nacional. Para iniciar, se hizo un estudio de mercado en el cual se definió el producto y el área geográfica en el cual será desarrollado. Luego se hace una estimación de la demanda para el proyecto. Se determinó comercializar el producto en empaques trilaminados de 250 gramos, teniendo como público objetivo a jóvenes de 25 a 39 años, de un NSE A y B, que vivan en Lima. Definido el público objetivo, se analizaron diversos factores para determinar la localización óptima de la planta. Posteriormente, se consideraron las limitaciones impuestas por el tamaño de mercado, la tecnología disponible, los recursos necesarios y el punto de equilibrio para determinar la capacidad de la planta; que sería de 65,53 toneladas de café al año. Luego de realizado el estudio de presupuestos concluimos que la inversión mínima necesaria es de S/. 1 384 815,05, el 30% sería financiada por un banco privado. Finalmente, se efectúan la evaluación financiera y económica para determinar la viabilidad del proyecto, obteniendo como resultado un VAN de S/. 1 169 961,15, una TIR Financiera de 47,71% y una relación B/C de 2,21. Con estos resultados concluimos que el proyecto es viable y rentable a lo largo del tiempo.

The main goal of this project is to carry out a pre-feasibility study for the installation of a coffee production plant in the Peruvian high rain. Peru is producer of one of the best coffees in the world. But despite that, the consumption of imported coffees predominates in the national market. To begin, a market study was carried out in which the product and the geographical area in which it will be developed are defined. Then with this information, added to an analysis of the historical and potential demand, an estimate of the specific demand for the project is made. It was determined to commercialize the product in 250-gram trilaminated packages, with the target audience being young people between 25 and 39 years old, with an SES A and B who live in the city of Lima, Peru. Once the product and the target audience were defined, different factors were analyzed to determine the optimal location of the plant. Subsequently, the limitations imposed by the market size, the technology available, the necessary resources and the equilibrium point of the project were considered to determine the capacity of the plant. That would be 65,53 metric tons of Arabic coffee per year. After carrying out the budget study, we conclude that the minimum investment required is S /. 1 384 815,05, of which 30% would be financed by a private bank. Finally, the financial and economic evaluation is carried out to determine the viability of the project, obtaining as a result a Net Financial Present Value of S /. 1 169 961,15, an Internal Rate of Financial Return of 47,71% and a Benefit / Cost ratio of 2,21. With these results, we were able to conclude that the project is viable and profitable for shareholders over time.
