Research gradualness matrix for undergraduate students in computing related careers
Resumen
A drawback in the academic formation of some undergraduate students in computing related careers is the lack of preparation for improving their research skills. In the following article, we ought to know if the gradual inclusion of research tasks in different courses and at different levels of the curriculum would improve the student's research skills. In addition to master related topics such as bibliographic material search and classification, description of methodologies followed in research articles, critical analysis, report writing, oral presentation among others. Consequently, the skills gained by the students will aid in the elaboration of the final research project and academic articles requested as part of the curriculum and ultimately to obtain their professional degree. In the following research, we describe the methodology followed, the qualification rubrics used for the different levels; together with the experiences gained, limitations encountered and success cases derived from the application of this gradual approach.
