The life beneath your feet
Abstract
Soil is essential for most of the Earth's life. Nonetheless, this resource has been treated as inert in production models, with added inputs bringing more output, ignoring the degradation of the underlying soil resource. Recent studies have highlighted the important role of soil biology in its capacity to support life. This TEDxISCTE talk provides a plea for everyone to treat soil as the living ecosystem that it is!
