Autobiografía, autoría y feminidad en Destino: vagabunda. Memorias de Carmen Ollé

Abstract

The article proposes an approach to Destino: vagabunda. Memorias de Carmen Ollé (1947) based on the dialogue between the history of her vocation as a writer and her personal life and the historical circumstances and experiences in the public and political sphere that she had to live. Likewise, it addresses the problematization of the nature of time and memory, as well as the narrative strategies of the autobiographical self to “self-invent” through the intersection between autobiography and autofiction. Finally, a gender perspective is adopted to analyze this “self-invention” and the tensions it produces with the patriarchal model. © 2024 Department of Spanish Literature and Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature.Universidad de Valladolid.
