Diagnóstico empresarial de Century Metals & Supplies Perú S.A.C.

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación consiste en un diagnostico de la empresa Century Metals & Supplies Perú S.A.C. (CMS) desde un punto de vista financiero, comercial, de procesos internos y recursos humanos, identificando puntos débiles para formular y evaluar una solución. Dentro del primer capítulo se describirá el giro de la empresa, principales características y mercado geográfico; mientras que en el segundo se explicará la manera en como será distribuido el trabajo, las herramientas y metodología. En el capítulo 3 se analizará la visión, misión y valores de la empresa, así como la estrategia genérica y demás aspectos internos. En el capítulo 4 se inicia el diagnóstico empresarial utilizando el método Thibaut y el método de causa raíz; primero identificando la baja rentabilidad neta como deficiencia financiera, disminución en la participación de mercado en el aspecto comercial, altos costos de transporte en los procesos internos y baja capacitación de trabajadores en recursos humanos. Luego, para el diagnóstico de la causa raíz se optó por el Diagrama Causa-Problema-Efecto. A partir de todo ello, en el capítulo 5 se plantean las alternativas de solución y mediante el método de Ranking de Factores se concluye en ofrecer descuentos por pronto pago. En el capítulo 6, se realiza un análisis de las fases de la solución siendo: Diseño, Desarrollo, Implementación y Aseguramiento; con el fin de que esta rinda eficazmente. En el capítulo 7 se evaluará la solución desde las perspectivas: financiera, comercial, de procesos internos y recursos humanos, además de su rol en la misma. En el capítulo 8 se analizarán los impactos generados en la solución, eligiendo al más significativo mediante una tabla de enfrentamiento, siendo: la baja utilización del descuento de pronto pago. Finalmente se redactan las conclusiones y recomendaciones de la investigación.

This research project presents a diagnosis of the company Century Metals & Supplies Perú S.A.C. (CMS) from a financial, commercial, internal processes and human resources point of view, identifying weak points to formulate and evaluate a solution. The first chapter describes the business of the company, main characteristics, and geographic market; while the second will explain how the work, tools and methodology will be distributed. Chapter 3 will analyze the vision, mission, and values of the company, as well as the generic strategy and other internal aspects. In Chapter 4 the business diagnosis is started using the Thibaut method and the root cause method; first, identifying the low net profitability as a financial deficiency, a decrease in market share in the commercial aspect, high transportation costs in internal processes and low training of workers in human resources. Then, for the diagnosis of the root cause, the Cause-Problem-Effect Diagram was chosen. Based on all of this, in chapter 5 the solution alternatives are outlined and the Factor Ranking method is concluded by offering discounts for prompt payment. In chapter 6, an analysis of the phases of the solution is carried out, being: Design, Development, Implementation and Assurance; to perform effectively. In Chapter 7 the solution will be evaluated from different perspectives: financial, commercial, internal processes and human resources, in addition to its role in it. In chapter 8 the impacts generated in the solution will be analyzed, choosing the most significant through a confrontation table, being: the low use of the prompt payment discount. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations of the investigation are written.
