Posibilidades de desarrollo del teatro por Streaming en el Perú

Abstract

Esta investigación analiza las posibilidades de desarrollo del teatro por streaming en el Perú, para lo cual, se realizaron entrevistas semi estructuradas a profesionales del medio teatral limeño. Se encontró que el teatro por streaming en el Perú fue entendido por los artistas como una solución ante la crisis artística, económica y social más que como un producto artístico nuevo e independiente. Se concluye que el teatro por streaming es un medio artístico que, según las concepciones teóricas iniciales, puede ser o no considerado teatro; sin embargo, es, en definitiva, un espacio de expresión artística que implica nuevos aprendizajes para los artistas que lo llevan a cabo. Además, en cuanto a la creación de plataformas por streaming, se concluye que esto aún no es una posibilidad, pues los productos desarrollados aún no están claramente definidos y, por otro lado, los costos son elevados.

This research analyzes virtual theaters’ development possibilities in Peru, for which semi structured interviews to professionals from Lima’s theatrical milieu were held. It was found that online theater in Peru is regarded by artists as a solution to the artistic, economic and social crises rather than as a new and independent artistic product. In conclusion, virtual theater is an artistic medium that, according to initial theoretical conceptions, may or may not be considered theater; nevertheless, it is, definitely, an artistic expression space that implies new learning for the artists who perform it. Moreover, regarding the creation of streaming platforms, it is concluded that this is not yet a possibility, since the developed products are not still clearly defined and, on the other hand, expenses are high.
