Mapping Women STEM Initiatives in Latin American Countries: Bolivia, Brazil and Peru
Abstract
The main objective of this article is to show a systematic literature review to map studies dealing with initiatives that aim to promote the insertion and permanence of women in Technology and Engineering (TE) careers, in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. This is the first step to contribute to the generation and use of cross-country comparable open data to assess policies and interventions to reduce the gender gap in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). The findings show limitations in the literature review of publications in English on initiatives to address female representation and leadership in the STEM field in these countries. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
