Centro Cultural de la Memoria del Duelo Huamanga, Ayacucho

Abstract

El proyecto del Centro Cultural de la Memoria del Duelo es una propuesta arquitectónica que busca articular el borde natural existente en el límite entre el entorno natural y construido a las afueras de la ciudad de Huamanga, Ayacucho. Este busca crear un edificio único que dialogue con ambos contextos, difuminando los límites entre ellos, brindando espacios de transición, respetando las preexistencias del terreno, y proveyendo a la ciudad de espacios de recreación que promuevan el intercambio cultural. Se propone un equipamiento de centro cultural que permita brindar los espacios propicios para educar, sanar y reconciliar, a través del arte y las manifestaciones culturales, a la población fracturada por una época de violencia entre los años 1980 y 2000 que sacudió al país y tuvo como mayor afectado al departamento de Ayacucho. De esta manera, el proyecto busca evocar a la memoria colectiva, impulsando una atmósfera de paz, en lugar de una reflexión nostálgica.

The “Centro Cultural de la Memoria del Duelo” project is an architectural proposal that attempts to articulate the existing natural border on the border between the natural and built environment on the periphery of the city of Huamanga, Ayacucho. It is intended to create a unique building that dialogues with both contexts, diffusing the boundaries between them, providing transitional spaces, respecting the pre-existences of the site, and providing the city with recreational spaces that promote cultural exchange. The cultural center equipment is proposed to provide the appropriate spaces to educate, heal and reconcile, through art and cultural manifestations, the population fractured by a period of violence between the 1980 and 2000 that devastated the country and had the department of Ayacucho as the most affected. In this way, the project seeks to evoke the collective memory, promoting an atmosphere of peace, instead of a nostalgic reflection.
