Abstract

Cruzar el umbral es un videoarte de corte experimental y artístico que busca representar los conceptos de la memoria y la identidad, a través de una narrativa fragmentada y no lineal que responde a la naturaleza variable del recuerdo. La investigación estuvo basada tanto en referentes cinematográficos, como en cortometrajes y obras de videoarte que aportaron tanto a nivel estético como técnico, posibilitando la construcción de un lenguaje audiovisual propio. La propuesta del proyecto incluye recursos como la evocación nostálgica y la conexión emocional con el espectador, con el fin de generar un espacio reflexivo. La obra busca aportar al campo del videoarte una mirada conceptual y estética que permita repensar la identidad como un proceso en constante transformación.

Cruzar el umbral is an experimental and artistic video art piece that seeks to represent the concepts of memory and identity through a fragmented and non-linear narrative that reflects the variable nature of recollection. The research was based on both cinematographic references and short films and video art works that contributed at both an aesthetic and technical level, enabling the construction of a personal audiovisual language. The project's proposal includes resources such as nostalgic evocation and emotional connection with the viewer, aiming to create a reflective space. In this way, the work seeks to contribute to the field of video art with a conceptual and aesthetic perspective that allows identity to be rethought as a dynamic process.
