Evolución de la industria de cítricos en el Perú

Abstract

El Perú es una región en donde por varias generaciones se han cultivado cítricos, por lo cual es considerado un país citrícola. En los últimos años la industria de cítricos en nuestro país ha tenido un gran apogeo, todo esto gracias al incremento de la producción interna y la tendencia de crecimiento de las exportaciones. Este 2020 la industria de los cítricos se vio beneficiada enormemente por el incremento de su demanda alrededor del mundo. Por otro lado, la expansión del COVID-19 a nivel global ha causado alrededor del mundo muchas muertes, ha obligado a las agroexportadoras y empresas de la industria alimentaria a adaptarse y seguir más protocolos de seguridad. Sin embargo; persiste una incertidumbre en el sector, ya que la demanda de cítricos subió considerablemente por los beneficios que aporta al ser humano y debido a esto la cadena de cultivo cítrico no limitaciones vinculadas al transporte.
