Abstract

What we had not said is a reflexive autobiographical documentary about the motherdaughter relationship, in which the director immerses herself in her memory to understand and rebuild her identity, based on the story she shares with her mother. Through archive material and an intimate dialogue between the two, topics that intrinsically link the role assigned to women in the peruvian society are touched, such as marriage, motherhood, separation from a partner and crisis personal growth. The purpose of the project is related to promoting reflections and collective awareness on the role of women's identity and representing the memory of the impact of a mother on the identity of a daughter, considering the current social context.

Lo que no habíamos dicho es un documental autobiográfico reflexivo sobre la relación madre e hija, en el que la realizadora se sumerge en su memoria para comprender y reconstruir su identidad, a partir de la historia que comparte con su madre. A través de material de archivo y un diálogo íntimo entre ambas, se tocan temas, que vinculan intrínsecamente el rol que se asigna a la mujer en la sociedad peruana, como lo son el matrimonio, la maternidad, la separación de pareja y el crecimiento personal a partir de la crisis. El propósito del proyecto está relacionado con promover la reflexión y la conciencia colectiva sobre el rol de la identidad de la mujer y representar la memoria sobre el impacto de una madre en la identidad de una hija, teniendo en cuenta el contexto social actual.
