El siguiente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad analizar el slow fashion o moda
lenta y la relación que mantiene con la sostenibilidad y responsabilidad socioambiental
que se presenta en las diferentes prácticas del upcycling (de ropa) y el thrift shopping
(venta de ropa de segunda mano) en Lima Metropolitana dentro de un contexto de
reactivación post pandemia. El artículo analiza diversos emprendimientos que optaron
por ofrecer productos reciclados; además de entender el “saber hacer” de estos negocios
y cómo trabajan los valores del respeto y cuidado del medio ambiente a través de acciones
sostenibles que se reflejan en cómo operan, manufacturan y entregan el producto final a
sus clientes. Asimismo, analiza su actuar en Instagram y el alcance y engagement de las
mismas. Los resultados y las conclusiones obtenidas demuestran que a pesar de que la
sociedad limeña aún no está acostumbrada a consumir productos reciclados de forma
masiva, la existencia de estos emprendimientos son una forma introductoria y exitosa de
empezar a educar a los consumidores sobre una nueva manera sostenible de ayudar a una
economía circular nacional y también a contribuir y proteger el medio ambiente. Además,
el performance y engagement del contenido del slow fashion en redes sociales es bien
aceptado. The purpose of this research is to analyze slow fashion and the relationship that holds
with sustainability and social environmental responsibility in different small businesses
practices like upcycling, clothing recycling and thrift shops in the area of Lima
Metropolitana post Covid. The research analyzes different small businesses that offer
recycling products, also understand their know how with the values of respect and
environmental care through sustainable actions that involves how they operate,
manufacture and give their final products to their clients, in addition, analyze their digital
presence, especially on Instagram and their engagement rate of the content. The results
and conclusions showed that Lima society is not used to consume recycling products in
a massive amount yet, but the existence of these small businesses are an introduction and successful way to start educating the consumers about this sustainable-new way to help
their national circular economy, and contribute to the protection of the environment. In
the other hand, the performance and engagement rate of the digital content they created
about slow fashion on social media it’s well acceptance.
