Parque Terminal Satélite de Huaycán

Abstract

El límite entre los distritos de Huaycán y Chaclacayo en el Cono Este de Lima enfrenta desafíos significativos en términos de infraestructura pública y cohesión social. La presencia desordenada de actividades comerciales e informales, junto con la falta de áreas verdes y conexiones viales adecuadas, ha generado una fragmentación urbana y social en la zona. Este estudio propone el diseño de un Parque Terminal Terrestre Satélite como un nodo articulador que busca abordar estas problemáticas. La metodología de investigación empleada fue mixta, combinando enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos para comprender la complejidad del contexto. Se evidenció la necesidad de un espacio público multifuncional que no solo integre las centralidades existentes, sino que también mejore la calidad de vida de los residentes y fortalezca el sistema de transporte interprovincial. El análisis del crecimiento demográfico y económico del Cono Este reveló la importancia de esta intervención para promover la cohesión social y abordar las carencias de infraestructura. Se destacó el potencial regenerativo de un cambio de uso en la zona, aprovechando la demanda de servicios de transporte y la identidad urbana de Huaycán. En conclusión, este proyecto busca contribuir al desarrollo sostenible del área al proporcionar un espacio público inclusivo que promueva la integración social y mejore la movilidad interprovincial.

The boundary between the districts of Huaycán and Chaclacayo in the Eastern part of Lima faces significant challenges in terms of public infrastructure and social cohesion. The disorderly presence of commercial and informal activities, along with the lack of green areas and adequate road connections, has generated urban and social fragmentation in the area. This study proposes the design of a Satellite Terrestrial Terminal Park as an articulating node to address these issues. The research methodology used was mixed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to understand the complexity of the context. The need for a multifunctional public space that not only integrates existing centralities but also improves the quality of life for residents and strengthens the interprovincial transportation system was evident. Analysis of the demographic and economic growth of the Eastern Lima revealed the importance of this intervention in promoting social cohesion and addressing infrastructure deficiencies. The regenerative potential of a change in land use in the area was highlighted, capitalizing on the demand for transportation services and the urban identity of Huaycán. In conclusion, this project aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the area by providing an inclusive public space that promotes social integration and enhances interprovincial mobility.
